Please consider an opportunity to help underwrite a holiday CD project for the children and their siblings at Children’s Hospitals around the country. All funds will go to producing copies of the CD and delivering them free of charge to Children’s Hospitals for the sick kids who cannot go home for the holidays and their siblings who often feel neglected. This year we hope to raise enough funds to send CD’s to Children’s Hospitals in San Diego, Milwaukee, Albuquerque, Orange County, Miami, New York, Houston, New Orleans, Minneapolis, and Philidelphia. For each $3.00 donation a child receives a CD.
Here are the details… Through the generous donations of several singers and actors we have created the 7th annual compilation recording titled “Holiday Magic 2009, A Gift for Children of all Ages.” The tale is shared by Jeffrey the reindeer and Santa Claus as they make their way from the North Pole to visit the children. They are joined by Jeffrey’s cousin Carlito who lives at the Wild Animal Park, Kate the adventurous reindeer and this year Mrs. Claus will join them with fresh baked cookies! The talent this year is once again remarkable and the CD has an international flair with a stories in Spanish, Italian and with Russian Norwegian and New Zealand accents!
The goal is to brighten the holidays for the sick children spending the season at Children’s Hospitals and their siblings who often feel lonely due to the other child requiring more attention from the parents. Last year 1500 copies of the CD were delivered to Children’s and they were thrilled to have them and distribute them to their patients!
This year’s goal is to produce and deliver a minimum of 2000 copies, which will be delivered on December 10th. Please consider donating $50 or as much as possible. No amount is too big or too small. Your gift is appreciated immensely!

Well here it is…the final line up for the Holiday Magic, a Gift for Children of All Ages 2009 CD! Thanks to everyone who submitted this year. We received a ton of great songs and stories and wish we could have used them all. These were chosen based on creativity, generosity and appropriateness for the CD storyline. The CD master has gone to press and the goal is to deliver on December 10th! Thanks to you this project is getting better and better every year. You might want to start thinking about what your going to create and submit for next year!
This CD is more important than ever this year due to many hospitals not allowing visitors because of the H1N1 virus. These kids deserve to smile and be happy for their holidays and these songs and stories will do the trick!

Donations/Sponsorships Sought for Compilation CD to Pay Production Costs, Widen Distribution
SAN DIEGO, October 22, 2009- GelderHead Productions, offering professional voice-over services to enhance business communications, announced today that it is spearheading the continued production of “Holiday Magic 2009, a Gift for Children of all Ages,” a CD featuring music and a holiday tale that will be distributed to sick children at Children’s Hospital and their siblings. A number of singers and actors donated their talent for the CD, and funds are currently being solicited to cover the cost of production and ensure as many children as possible receive them.
Jeff Gelder, owner of GelderHead Productions, distributed 1500 CD’s to four hospitals in 2007 and 1500 CD’s to eight hospitals in 2008; he hopes to exceed that number this year and plans to “play Santa” in December at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego.

The tale on the CD is weaved by Jeffrey the Surfer Reindeer and Santa Claus as they make their way from the North Pole to visit the children. In 2007 we were introduced to Kate the adventurous teenage reindeer from Milwaukee, and every year there are new exciting characters.
The talent last year was remarkable, and included award winning actress and singer Nichelle Nichols (Lt. Uhura on Star Trek) and her talented sister Marian Michaels, Broadway actress Ashley Fox-Linton (from Del Mar, CA) and Sam Bass of KyXy 96.5fm. Other performers who generously lent their talent to the CD are singer, songwriter Karl Anthony, nationally acclaimed voice actors Connie Terwilliger and Donna Reed, Sony recording artist James Higgins, Kenny Wesley, AudioGirlProductions.com, and more. Microsoft manager and writer Mark Patterson penned the script, and professional speaker Phillip Tanzilo, voice actors Greg Dehm, Heather Martinez, and Gelder also of KyXy 96.5fm, plays Santa Claus, Carlito, Kate and Jeffrey the Reindeer respectively.
The first CD was produced six years ago, when Gelder was tasked in a Landmark Education class to come up with a project that would enhance the community and ultimately take on a life of its own. That’s just what has happened, as Gelder now fields many inquiries about the CD all year long. “This year we hope to once again have CD’s for Children’s Hospital’s in San Diego, Milwaukee, Miami, Albuquerque, Orange County, New Orleans, Houston, and New York and we’ve had requests from other hospitals around the country.
For every $3.00 donation a child will receive a CD of their own,” says Gelder. “This is a labor of love that is received with much joy by children who are unfortunately spending the holiday season in the hospital and their siblings, who often crave attention due to so much being given to the ailing member of their family,” Gelder said. “We appreciate all donations! The more donations the more children that will be receiving a CD.”
